Ulster settles property tax dispute; board adopts workplace violence policy

NY ULSTER — Ulster Town Board approves tax settlement reducing property assessment $516,000. The board unanimously settled a tax certiorari action for the Courtyard property on Frank Sottile Boulevard, reducing the 2025 assessment from $2.03 million to $1.52 million going forward. Supervisor James E.
Quigley also led adoption of a state-mandated Gender-Based Violence and the Workplace Policy and approval of a $144,500 grant application for comprehensive plan updates. Police Chief Kyle Berardi secured approval for a $12,292 impound facility expansion. The board appointed five members to the Ethics Committee and hired part-time police dispatcher Margaret Fitzgerald at $21.65 per hour.
