NY ULSTER — The Ulster Town Board appointed nine members to the Comprehensive Plan Committee on September 3. Deputy Supervisor Anna Hayner led the meeting with councilmembers Maryann DeGroodt, Laura Hartmann, and Michael Schatzel. The board authorized a $149,168 plow truck purchase, approved $39,999 in emergency drainage repairs to Town Hall, renewed health insurance with MVP Health Group at 7 percent, and authorized a $19,800 solar predevelopment agreement.
The board accepted highway mechanic Justin Binney's resignation as garage supervisor while continuing him as motor equipment operator, and granted a waiver allowing Judge Flood Myers to hire her sister as temporary court clerk. A public hearing on proposed short-term rental regulations drew four speakers but resulted in no board action on the regulation.
